I’m on a roll with my creative writing workshops. Whoop whoop! I have dipped my pen in many ink pots and have come up with so many fabulous ideas.

Community Writing Workshops 

I’ve been hosting the Creative Writing Studio for the past two years at the Mission Youth Centre. It’s so fun to write and share stories with young people aged 12 -18. Their imaginations and creativity and ideas are wild and unique! I’m inspired by these youth and their writing visions.

I’m also facilitating an adult writing workshop at the Mission Leisure Centre this autumn starting in October and going through until January. We’ll be using writing sprints in many genres and reading our work to each other in a safe and encouraging circle. I love my writing community!

Write From Your Heart Workshops

Some of you know that I’ve taught my writing workshop – Write From Your Heart: From Wounded to Warrior – at women’s shelters and transition homes in the Fraser Valley for free. Domestic Violence, Intimate Partner Violence, and Abuse are topics I’ve written greatly about in my blog (see the archives) and in my memoir – Hidden.

I’m now creating my first ever self-led version of Write From Your Heart. I’ve taken my workshop and written it so that you can enjoy the teachings wherever you are: you’re home, at a café, road-tripping, or on vacation. Self-led means that you can take all the time you need to write or you can rush ahead with your passion. The workshop is broken down into four sessions, each one growing upon the other, like the perfect stepping stones back to yourself.

After I get the self-led writing workshop up and running, I’ll be adding dates for my online writing workshop with moi, Lea Love. I’ll be leading you on a healing journey from the comfort of your own homes. Excited to meet and see you all there! Anddd . . . I’ll be looking for the perfect space for my in-person events.
