I really reflected on my health this month.
I caught the flu three times since the summer. I’m talking full on fever, body aches and headache, sneezing, congestion and coughing. They lasted three weeks each. I wondered what the heck was going on with my immune system?
I’ve been one of those people who prides themselves on never getting sick. Maybe a cold here and there but the flu was a rarity – once every ten years. But three times in six months? I would say that has never happened in my entire life.
Why was this happening? Friends told me that they too have been sick many times. Some theorize that since the pandemic they have been more susceptible to illness. Or maybe it was Covid every time or maybe having Covid impacted their immunity.
Whatever the reason, I took a look into my diet. Gah! I consume way too much sugar. Not enough fresh fruit and vegetables. Too much processed foods and not enough whole foods.
But! I do move my body every day and get lots of fresh air, sunshine, and nature. Yay me!
So what I wanted to ask was this: what are your favorite delicious, nutrient packed meals? I’m serious! What do you love having for breakfast? For Lunch? For dinner? For snacks?
