May Reflections

May 31, 2024

Hello Loves,

May has been a month of planting seeds.

I can feel the seasonal change in the wind and the rain and the sun. Spring is flowing into summer. I planted my garden plot last weekend. I bought packets of seeds – sunflowers and zinnias, kale and chard, carrots and beets, peas, beans, squash, cucumbers.

I pushed my pointer finger into the earth, over and over again, and dropped a precious seed into it, covering up the hole with a crumbling of soil. I try not to disturb more than the area I’m planting in. There’s a vast community of living things below and I try to respect their home and how they help me as a gardener.

This morning while I was journaling my woes, (yes, I have woes too), I thought about the idea of seeding and how it related to my life. I, my loves, have planted many, many seeds, as have you.

Currently, I have planted the seed of my memoir, which is back in an amending phase – cutting back and adding in. This is the seed I’m paying the most attention to, remembering to give it time and the right nutrients. Growing beside that is my writing workshop, Write From Your Heart-From Wounded to Warrior. I’ve offered these empowering classes to women’s shelters and transition homes. The seeding of this project has it moving from town to town and now city to city. Most recently, I’ve been offered to share it with the public through the arts community. Soon I’ll share it with you live on-line. This is my seed of social justice and healing in action.

Next to my writing, I’ve seeded my offerings as a tarot reader and intuitive coach, and now have planted them on my website. I love helping people reconnect to their Soul Path or tap into their own intuitive guidance system. And I continue to seed my passion for photography – taking photos and selling my prints. This seed is for me and my Soul Path.

I’ve been planting and replanting the seeds of love and care and community using my social media platforms on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, and BlueSky. The new seedings have me working with a media expert and learning new skills so that my presence is truly present. I’ve seeded many online friendships with so many beautiful and talented souls. We nourish each other by what we share from our own gardens.

While tossing my seeds into the magical garden bed of my life I wonder, what will gestate, sprout, and grow? What will I weed out? What will die away? What will flourish in that open space?

I am blessed to witness the seasons of my life and the seeds that I plant.

I’m in awe of the mystery. (And always a little impatient for what’s next.)
